Site audits were carried out by ET on weekly basis to monitor the timely
implementation of proper environmental management practices and mitigation
measures in the Contract site. The
summaries of site audits are attached in Appendix
M.
7.2
Site audits were conducted on 26th February 2013 by ET after
the commencement of construction works for the Contract. A joint site audit
with the representative with IEC, ER, the Contractor and the ET was carried out
on 26th February 2013. The details of observations during site audit
can refer to Table 7.1.
7.3
According to EP condition 4.7 and EM&A Manual, periodic monitoring
(every three months) of construction works shall be conducted to ensure the
avoidance of any impacts on Sha Lo Wan (West)
Archaeological Site. Access to Sha Lo Wan (West)
Archaeological site for works areas and storage of construction equipment is
not allowed. As no major construction works were conducted in Sha Lo Wan in the reporting period. The first inspection to
the Sha Lo Wan (West) Archeological Site will be
conducted in March 2013 and further inspection will be conducted every three
months.
7.4
According to the EIA Study Report, Environmental Permit and the EM&A
Manual, the mitigation measures detailed in the documents are recommended to be
implemented during the construction phase.
An updated summary of the EMIS is provided in Appendix N.
7.5
Regular marine travel route for marine vessels were implemented properly
in accordance with the submitted plan and relevant records were kept properly.
7.6
Acoustic decoupling measures for the stationary equipment (generators,
winch generators and air compressors) mounted on boards were adopted in
according to the approved Acoustic Decoupling Measures Plan.
7.7
During site inspections in the reporting period, no non-conformance was
identified. The observations and recommendations made during the audit sessions
are summarized in Table 7.1.

7.8
According to the Contractor, no inert C&D materials were generated
during the reporting period.
7.9
The Contractor was advised to minimize the wastes generated through the
recycling or reusing. All mitigation measures stipulated in approved waste management
plan shall be fully implemented.

the reporting period is shown in Appendix
O.
