8.2
No
Action/Limit Level exceedance was recorded for air quality
(1-hr TSP) and construction noise.
8.3
For 24-hour
TSP monitoring, no Limit Level exceedance was
recorded. One Action Level exceedance was recorded at
AMS1 on 20 January 2014.
8.4
According
to the investigation, no dust generation works was conducted at near the
monitoring station during the monitoring and observable dust source from
construction activity under Contract No. HY/2011/09. In addition, construction
works from other site and stockpile of dusty materials without proper cover at
near the monitoring station was observed. Therefore, the exceedance is considered not due to the Contract.
8.5
All
water quality monitoring was conducted as scheduled in the reporting month.
There are seven Action Level and fourteen Limit Level exceedances
for suspended solids were recorded. In addition, there are four Action Level
and six Limit Level exceedances for turbidity were
recorded.
8.6
According
to the investigation, no pollution discharge was observed from the site. In
addition, adverse water quality outside the site boundary was observed.
Sediment plume and floating wastes discharging to the monitoring stations from
the area outside the site boundary was also observed. Routine marine
construction works was conducted as usual and water quality mitigation measures
such as casing and silt curtains were properly implemented. Therefore, the exceedances are considered not due to the Contract.
8.7
Two environmental
related complaints were received in the reporting month. The Complaint Log is
attached in Appendix P.
8.8
There
was no prosecution or notification of summons received since the Contract
commencement.
