EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Introduction

1. This is the 69^th monthly Environmental Monitoring and Audit (EM&A) Report prepared by Cinotech Consultants Limited for the project ¡§Contract No. HY/2011/09 ¡V Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Link Road ¡V Section between HKSAR Boundary and Scenic Hill¡¨ (hereinafter called the ¡§Contract¡¨). This report documents the findings of EM&A Works conducted in October 2018.

[1] 24 hr TSP at AMS1 on 28^th September 2018 was cancelled due to the power supply and rescheduled to 2 October 2018.

[2] Water quality monitoring (Mid-Ebb) on 2^nd and 15^th October 2018 were cancelled due to safety reason. The reasons for no alternative include:

a) The tidal ranges of the alternative is less than 0.5m
b) Two sets of monitoring are not less than 36 hours

1-hour TSP Monitoring

4. All 1-hour TSP monitoring was conducted as scheduled in the reporting month. The 2^nd and 3^rd 1-hr TSP monitoring results at AMS1 on 10 October 2018 are considered as voided data due to the filter papers were contaminated by mold. No Action/Limit Level exceedances were recorded.

24-hour TSP Monitoring

5. All 24-hour TSP monitoring was conducted as scheduled in the reporting month. No Action/Limit Level exceedances were recorded.

Construction Noise

All construction noise monitoring was conducted as scheduled in the reporting month. No Action/Limit Level exceedance was recorded.

Water Quality

6. All water quality monitoring was conducted as scheduled in the reporting month. No Action/Limit Level exceedance for dissolved oxygen, turbidity and suspended solid were recorded.

Complaint Log

7. No environmental complaint was received in the reporting month.

Notification of Summons and Successful Prosecutions

8. No notification of summons and successful prosecution was received in the reporting month.

Reporting Changes

9. This report has been developed in compliance with the reporting requirements for the subsequent monthly EM&A Report as required by the EM&A Manual for Hong Kong Link Road (EM&A Manual).
